FLOYD LINN WINS - by Jamie Brooks

   Floyd Linn,Friendswood, captured his first SASBA championship, 
 in Conroe. Floyd entered the position round, in second place,
behind Bob McGregor. The winner of the match would be the champ.
Linn started with ninety pins in the pit, then a swisher a
288 game to win. McGregors loss dropped him to third behind   
Sal Turano, Sal has been eating good, has lost his Miss Clairol,  
and his hair is back to white. We had 141 entries and turned 
some away because of a full field of 144. Butch Calvert, Billy
King, and Lynn Feflore were entered, but didn't show up or call.

Andrew Bowden won "dog of the week" with 126 low game of the
tournament. 300's were rolled by Charles Avant, Floyd Linn,
Cliff Park, and Gary Woodard had one in the sweeper.

Thurman Thomas is importing bananas, because his tree is dormant
for the winter. Stoney Burke cashed in his first event and so did
John Smith.
Bill Smith didn't cash in his own house. Please note that we will be in
College Station in the Longview spot and Longview will be in September.
We will have a SASBA-Ladies Doubles the last week of May in Arlington
at AMF Sparetime.
We will take last minute entries in Reno and Vegas until February 9th.
