Text Box: Rookie of the Year candidate, Tam Wasson further solidified his chances by winning his 2nd title at Copperfield Bowl in Houston, TX. Entering the final game, he led Rick Minier by 14 pins and Ron Ramicone was only 17 behind Tam. Both Rick and Tam started X/X//, while Ron started XX/XX. Ron spared a washout in the 6th and struck in the 7th. Rick started striking in the 6th and Tam started a string in the 7th. Ron struck in the 7th and left a stone 9 in the 8th. He followed with a strike in the 9th and could strike out for 236. Rick could strike out in the 9th and 10th to shut both of them out. He struck in the 9th, but a 4-7 in the 10th left the door open. On a four bagger, Tam then struck in the Text Box: 10th. Ron left the 2-8 and spared it, meaning Tam had to have 9/ to win the tournament. He stuffed another strike and sealed his 2nd SASBA title. Ron passed Rick for 2nd. Dennis Scott jumped to 4th, and Ron Benz rounded out the top five.
