Text Box: At All Star Lanes in Shreveport, LA, Randy Summers led the qualifying, then dropped as low as 5th after 3 games, but bounced back with back to back 260s and pulled away to win his 2nd title. John Hitzman bowled great to get 2nd, Bill Stayton got 3rd, Ben Edwards was 4th, and Rit Kriechbaum rounded out the top 5. Hitzman, Wayne Dodson and Bob McGregor all held the lead for at least one game in the finals, but no one other than Randy could roll off

The “Baby Gorilla” made it. Moon almost made it. Tip, Beavers, Hawkins, and King made it and lost it. There were no 300s, but David “I like that” Addington had a 299. Randy had the only 800.
