Text Box: Stephens/Johnson Win In Beaumont Text Box: Jim Stephens and Chris Johnson led the qualifying on Saturday, then lost the lead temporarily to Jamie Brooks and Jack Zuniga and later to Tom Wolf and Jay Ashbaugh, but bounced back each time and pulled away to nab the victory at Crossroads Bowling Text Box: Center in Beaumont, TX. This was Jim’s 14th SASBA victory. Wolf and Ashbaugh finished 2nd, Jim King and Omar Arnett got 3rd, Jimmy Paulk and Jeff Clark got 4th and Paul McCordic and Mark Williams rounded out the top 5. Thanks to Mark and Debbie Text Box: Williams for being gracious hosts. The shot was fair and held up pretty well all weekend. Our next tournament is a regular singles at USA Bowl in Dallas, TX on January 19-20. Text Box: New Orleans legend Perry Dufrene and Houston legend Randy Ray made the finals in their first SASBA tournament as members. Text Box: Paul McCordic and Mark Williams shot two Baker 300’s in the finals. Mike Fleming and “Trigger” Taylor got member and guest “Dogs of the Week” Text Box: with a 143 and 151 respectively. Dennis Francis is back in top form. T.J. and Mike Lynch threw it great. Freehauf almost made it.
