Text Box: OUT ON THE TWIG Text Box: AVANT-PRITTS WIN Text Box: Charles Avant and Ted Pritts captured the Ebonite Senior Tour Super Senior-Guest tournament at Oak Hills Lanes in San Antonio. This is Avant’s second win in a row. Fred Barnes and Eric Traylor were second, Jesse Jackson and Larry Kassner; third, Phil Prieto and Derrick Williams; fourth, and John Hawkins and Mark Estes; fifth. There were great teams that did not make the finals. The bowler had to match speed, angle and the right ball to carry the ten pin. At one time I saw six ten pins left in a row across six lanes. There were uncountable amounts of ten pins missed. It was the same on the left side. One lefty left 7 sevens in a row and missed the first three. Some had a hard time getting the right ball in their hand to carry. Oak Hills Lanes is a great place for a tournament. If you have mailed your entry late for the Masters tournament in New Braunfels, please call the SASBA office and lets know that you mailed the entry. Each squad must be divisible by four. Derrick Williams had the only 300 game. Jesse Jackson Left the lily. Leo Markwardt beat his partner, Billy Ashley, AGAIN. Larry Kassner bowled great with his new ball. His old ball is 32 years old, a rubber Gyro, and his new ball is a Vector 1 made in 1989. Ron Benz developed a sore back trying to carry the Love Dog. George Calloway was strikin’ and grinnin’.
