Text Box: OUT ON THE TWIG Text Box: CJ & MIKE WIN EBONITE Text Box: C J Johnson; Super Senior and Mike Fleming; Senior won their divisions in the Ebonite Firecracker $15,000, at River Lanes in Tulsa. Both never lost a match staying in the winners bracket in the two game match, double elimination event. Les Burnham was second in the super senior division, Harry Reeves; third, Gary Dickinson; fourth. Bob Glass finished second in the senior division, David Zappitelli was third, and Maury Newman; fourth. Thanks to Steve Inasy and River Lanes for putting up $4000 for the FREE sweeper and $5000 into the prize fund. Thanks to Ebonite for the $5000 they added to the prize fund making this the premier SASBA event of the year. One hundred forty two members entered the tournament, where $36,150 was paid out to 64 bowlers. Almost half got checks. There was excitement when a storm put out the lights in the middle of the Super Senior division for two hours. I was proud of the bowlers for taking it so good. There was a bat flying around the center for about 20 minutes. Lots of players were bothered by the bat when they were making their approach. Tom Kelley finally snapped the bat with his towel to bring him down, what a shot. See ya in Fort Worth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Text Box: Senior All Star Bowling Association Text Box: Jerry Moon won the dog of the week award with 114 low game of the tournament. Jim Paine rolled 149-131=280 for arf, arf, low set in the finals, bow wow. Where was the Law Dog???? Congrads to T.J. Johnson who tied the knot with his girl friend Tammy in Vegas last week. Fluffy woof-woof. Stan Workman left the lily. Dave Soutar started with 176 then rolled 279 after watching where Gary Dickinson was playing and was presented with a SASBA Century Award.
