ESTES IS BACK

Mark Estes has had a mini dry spell.  He whacked the pin in the eight game finals at Blazer Bowl in Garland to out average the next player by four pins for the 20 games to win the tournament.  SASBA hall of famer John Denton captured second place, then led the qualifying by a ton, but took a siesta for a while in the finals.  John Woessner with his new 3 step approach captured third.  Lurking in fourth was another hall of famer Gary Dickinson making his comeback from back surgery.  Congrads to all of the 128 full field who averaged over 200.  The lanes had just been resurfaced and looked beautiful. There was danger lurking out there. Pinpoint accuracy with the right ball was needed on both sides of the lanes. Spares were at a premium.  Splits happened with errant and nearly good shots.   It was hard work.
Notes: Phil Ballard and John Denton bowled perfect games.  Rich Snyder beat out a bunch of players with 103 low game for the dog of the week award.  Rich wished Bill Sinsabaugh had bowled.  Tom King left the lily. Rick Talley had an all-spare game. SASBA bowler of the year,  Maury Newman had two RB balls in one set,  missing the head pin on the left).  Jesse
