The Ebonite Senior Tour held its Champion and Non Champions tournaments at Astro Bowl in San Antonio. There were three events bowled at once. Non-champions, Senior champions, and Super Senior champions. All three tournaments were won by house bowlers. Ronnie Hulme defeated Paul Martinez 248 to 246 to win the Senior Champions division. Clarence Hathaway defeated Jerry Beavers to win the Super Senior Champions division. Joe Binder got his first title by winning the non-champions division. Rick McKinney was second, Joe Tidwell third and Jim Paine captured fourth. John Denton led the super senior division Saturday. He slipped and fell at the motel Sunday morning and could not continue.
Notes: For the first time in over three hundred tournaments we had a member leave the tournament after finishing and making the finals. Milton Smith finished +95 and was in 21st place. We had to get the third alternate, Rich Black to fill in. The estimate was +148 to make the finals. Sunday
