Steve Ray, Lone Oak , doubled in the tenth frame of the
final match to win the Track Senior Tour tournament in Fort Worth. Gary Dickinson
finished second. Both Gary and Steve were unable to get a string going that final
match, both had corner pin trouble. Dee Munsell tossed a nine bagger against
qualifying leader Bob Freehauf to finish third. Freehauf averaged 243 to lead
the qualifying in the 149 man field.

Three hundred games were rolled by Jesse Davis and Bobby Meadows.
Claude Thomas won the dog of the week award with 139 low game of the tournament. He
had to listen to Syd Thornton crow all the way home. Claude's glasses got steamed
up, Lavon Kilburn's face got chaffed, Bill Sinsabaugh almost |
